Michelle
grew up dancing and spent more than 14 years in jazz, tap, contemporary and
ballet. Her love of dance gave her the opportunity to become professional
dancer for two seasons with the CFL and the Toronto Argonauts.
After a fluke audition for a high
school play, Michelle found a new love in theatre, acting and public speaking.
At eighteen, she was crowned Miss Teen Newmarket and went on to compete in the Miss
Teen Canada International Pageant where she was 1st runner up, returning a couple years later to co-host the live event in Toronto.
Michelle
graduated with a BA in Communications Media and Culture landing herself an
Internship with CityLine then spent nearly four years serving up Toronto's
morning coffee as the Diner Girl for City Tv's Breakfast Television. Michelle
has since appeared in several other TV shows, Films and Commercials such as
Suits, Degrassi, Dark Matter, The Bachelor Canada, OWN Network, the Host of Swap Shop on Rogers
Television and is currently the Social Media Host for Sony Pictures Canada.
One of her greatest passions and accomplishments is being
a yoga instructor. She believes in helping people attain personal awareness while
becoming physically and emotionally fulfilled through yoga and meditation.
In 2013 Michelle launched Openhartz.com, an online source for empowerment, self-love, inspiration and personal development. She fuses her love of mindful living and performance by hosting and producing her own mindful living series 'Truth Talk' on her YouTube channel, OpenhartzTV.
In love with wellness, fitness and conscious nutrition she is always finding new ways to take traditional recipes and converting them
to more balanced alternatives and sharing them with family and friends.
Outside of work, she enjoys writing, blogging
and mentoring young women through the Big Brothers and Big Sisters program and
spending time with her fur babies Lexi and Seren.
